Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
He wasn't drunk on holiday in the summer. He found a fine replacement for booze.

s Nolan single? if so, I suppose it wouldn't be easy sitting at home on your tod every night with money burning a hole in your pocket. Btw, you can't feel sorry for a bloke earning more in a week than most do in a year. He will have the last laugh.

Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
His performances suggest he can't get away with it?

What I will say, in fairness to the bloke, is that I've never seen him out - or heard of him being out - the night before a game, which is mostly why I don't give a shit about it.

Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
All though Nolan has been useless - booing him was fucking shit. Hated it.

Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
He was out in Bethnal GREEN playing DARTS last Sunday after Man United.

Him, Carroll and Collins. All absolutely hammered.

Could it be he has at least tacit LICENSE to go out from his boss?

Really?

Suprises me. Not saying it's not true, just suprised that a top level pro can get away with it if he's doing it all the time.

stewie griffin 10:46 Mon Feb 16
Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
He drinks in places that are full of West Ham fans.
The evidence comes in the form of EYES. There's really not much else to say.

Personally, I couldn't give a shit, but its true that he's out a hell of a lot. Used to be with lots of the squad when he first came. Now it's mostly on his own with some of his cringey mates.

Where is the evidence?

It's ok saying he is a piss artist but I have never seen him in the paper out on the piss unless it was a Christmas party.

Do people on here know him personally or people that do know him?

No. He really is

As was pointed out, Song was clearly on the bong and who'd blame him?

Is he really a piss artist though? Or is that something created by the haters to slag him off for?

Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
Song was worse than Nolan on Saturday

penners28 10:36 Mon Feb 16
Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
at 60 bags a week i'd take a little booing russ son. but like people say, he's not going to refuse to play.

if he wasnt such a piss head mess off the pitch his game might improve, goals may start coming, and that would shut the fans up.

Russ of the BML 10:33 Mon Feb 16
Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
I do feel a little sorry for Nolan in all of this as he is picked to play so he goes out and plays and does his best.

The boo's really are for the man that continually picks him despite, as the OP states, not really bringing much to the team.

young woody 10:14 Mon Feb 16
Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
I can not believe how this season has gone really. The start was excellent playing some lovely stuff, since Nolan has been back its just got worse and worse..slower and slower.

I am furious by it all to be honest.

If Nolan is such an assett in the dressing room, i can pnly suggest he stays there until he and BFS are sacked

Re: Is the critiscism of nolan unfair?
Newcastle wisely dispensed with Nolan for a reason - he wasn't up to the speed of the present game.

We were absolutely crazy to give Nolan such a long contract. He is not even up to Division 2 level now, never mind Premiership. As for captaincy, he has been excellent and made a great contribution to the club, but you have to pick a captain from your best 11 players. He has been carried for far too long, and if I were the other midfielders I would be well pissed off.
